You've booked your class. The deposit is in, the date is locked, and now you're in that in-between phase where excitement and nerves are competing for the same space. You want to show up prepared, not scrambling, not overwhelmed, not wondering if you brought the wrong thing.
Here are the five things every beginner needs before their first wig making class at Yoli Opulence, whether you booked the Essentials Class or the Elite Class.

1. The Right Supplies for Your Class
Elite Class: you don't need to bring anything. The sewing machine (yours to keep), 100% virgin Brazilian hair, lace closure, full wig kit and all tools are provided.
Essentials Class: bring your sewing machine (we recommend the Singer Heavy Duty, threaded and tested at home), 3 bundles and 1 lace closure, and the supplies on the list we email after you book. 2. The Cash Balance for Class Day
Your $250 deposit was paid online. The remaining balance is due in cash at the start of class: $445 for Essentials or $1,200 for Elite. Have it ready before you arrive. This is not a detail to sort out at the door.
3. Comfortable Clothes and Hair Out of Your Face
You'll be leaning over a sewing machine for four hours. Wear something comfortable. Pull your hair back. Skip the long nails if you can. Operating a sewing machine with acrylics is manageable, but it helps to have dexterity on your side.
4. A Willingness to Go Slow
The biggest mistake first-time students make is rushing. Wig construction rewards patience. Yoli will walk you through every step. Your job is to follow along carefully, not to race to the finish. The wig will be done when it's done correctly.
5. A Plan for What You'll Do With the Skill After
You don't need a full business plan. But having a sense of where you're going (personal use, client work, online sales) helps you absorb the class with intention.
